GIS Research Analyst, WI State Cartographer's Office | Madison, WI, 2022-2025

  • Integral member of team efforts to segment and identify urban trees in Milwaukee County using R packages and LiDAR data.
  • Collaborated on northern WI flood exposure and vulnerability web map displaying critical infrastructure, dasymetric small-area population estimates, and flood analysis specific to the cities of Ashland and Mellen.
  • Co-produced a Regional Atlas for the Wisconsin Department of Corrections using sensitive client location data. Streamline future updates by utilizing only ArcGIS Pro and MS Word.
  • Created a methodology for identifying cartographic phantom communities, resulting in a submission to USGS for reclassification on official US Topographical Maps.
  • Developed and maintain the Hidden Communities AGOL application by mapping and publicly sharing data on unincorporated and phantom communities in Wisconsin.
  • Partnered with the Capitol Area Regional Planning Commission to expand and modernize the Dane County Heritage Oak Project. tree inventory which uses an AGOL application and Survey 123.
  • Led the development of the Remarkable Trees AGOL application, in partnership with local community organizations.
  • Manage the Starkweather Creek Chloride Monitoring Project, overseeing project logistics, creating web maps, and conducting GIS workshops for emerging conservationists.
  • Member of organizing committee for UW-Madison Geospatial Summit.
